Introducing: Spending By Category

Demo version of the FFCCU Spending Wheel

Budgeting with the FFCCU App and Digital Banking just got a lot easier.

If you prefer a brief read, continue on with this blog post. Otherwise, see our short digital tutorial.

If you’re one of those “visual learners,” keeping your financial picture clear can be a chore. Charts and numbers don’t make every brain happy! In steps the latest expansion to our Digital Banking and FFCCU App:  Spending By Category. You might also hear this called the Spending Wheel (on desktop view) or Spending Gauge (o40125 n mobile).

How Does it Work?

This new viewer breaks down all of your transactions by type and reports the dollar amount you spend in each category. You can track by week, one month, three month, and six month increments.

Where Do I Find the Spending By Category?

For some members, all you need to do is scroll down to find the panel! Otherwise, select the “ . . . ” in the top right corner of any card, or scroll all the way down and find the “Organize Dashboard” button at the very bottom.

Then, select the “+” button or “+ Add a Card” button.

From here you’ll have the option to add the “Spending By Category” panel and any others you have currently hidden.

Why Don’t I Have a Wheel on Mobile?

To make your mobile viewing experience more pleasant, the Spending By Category panel automatically converts from a wheel to a gauge when in mobile view. This better uses screen space to help you visualize information without losing the numbers themselves.

I Don’t Think I Have This?

Spending By Category will only be available if you have an FFCCU debit card. Purchases made on a credit card or from other sources won’t appear here. If it otherwise interacts with an FFCCU debit or checking account, you should see it covered in the Spending Wheel/Gauge.
