What is a Share Secured Credit Card?
A share secured credit card is a great way to build credit if you are just starting out or to reestablish your credit if you’ve had problems in the past. The card is backed by your share (savings) account, and your credit limit is the set amount, on deposit in your account. You can then use the card to make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted, and pay the balance each month. Secured credit cards also report information to the major credit bureaus monthly, which allows you to build a payment history.
