Safe Deposit Boxes are a great tool for managing your valuables and important documents. They are safe, secure, fire resistant and provide convenient access to those items you absolutely can’t lose. Valuables can be stored in a safe deposit box which alleviates worry about theft in the home and you’ll have peace of mind while traveling, knowing that your valuables are safe with the Credit Union. Safe deposit boxes are available at the downtown branch, 2300 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114. Sizes vary and all boxes are 24″ long. The rental fee is debited from your account at the beginning of each year.
Safe Deposit Box Sizes:
- 3″ x 5″: $25 Annually
- 3″ x 10″: $40 Annually
- 5″ x 10″: $60 Annually
- 10″ x 10″: $120 Annually

Safe Deposit FAQs
Lost key results in a fee, according to our fee schedule and a box re-drill.
No. Insuring your contents would be impossible because we do not know what is in your box. Ask your insurance agent about a special policy covering items stored in a safe deposit box.
The IRS cannot just walk in and make us open your box. They can, however, serve a “Notice of Levy” requiring us to freeze your box. They will then ask you to be present at the box opening.
Yes. You will sign an authorization upon opening your box and we’ll deduct your annual rent. If a safe deposit box becomes delinquent past 60-days, an additional fee may be applied to the box in accordance with our fee schedule.
Only if you do not pay your rental fee for a pre-determined amount of time, as determined by state laws.
The boxes are highly resistant to fire, water, heat, earthquakes, explosions and other disastrous conditions.
