who can join?
In July 2005, Firefighters Community Credit Union expanded its charter to include EVERYONE that lives, works, worships or attends school in Cuyahoga and Lake counties. We are very excited to bring Credit Union benefits to consumers who may not have had access to FFCCU previously. We encourage you to share this exciting news of our expanded charter with your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers.
Membership eligibility to FFCCU includes:
- Everyone that lives, works, worships or attends school in Cuyahoga or Lake counties
- All active and retired employees of organized Fire Departments and Safety Departments in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Summit, Geauga, Lake and Portage counties; and the Fire Alarm Signal Division, Airport Fire Department and Union Local #93
- Employees of our Select Employer Groups (if your company/organization would like to offer FFCCU membership to your employees/staff, call us at 216-621-4644 for more information)
- Employees of the Firefighters Community Credit Union
- Everyone related to a current member by blood, adoption or marriage is eligible to join FFCCU, regardless of residence. Eligibility also extends to unrelated persons who share a residence with a current member.
Remember, when you join FFCCU, your membership lasts a lifetime, regardless of where you live or work.
